I haven’t posted in almost a week. I could mention technical errors, work related truancy, or some other bollocks, but truth be told, I’ve just been having some personal issues.
That being said, I’ve read Cats Cradle, Lamb, Song of Kali, Shadow of the Hegemon, and am barreling through 11/23/63, Inherent Vice, and Rules of Attraction.
But I’ve spent a lot of the last week beginning to piece together two scathing social essays.
The first is on modern American patriotism, and what it means.
The other deals with a cruel sexual society who hangs onto Hawthorne-esque double standards while promoting sex like no other generation can.
Neither are particularly done at this point in time, but I’m trying. I’m trying really hard to get these out.
With all that’s happening in my life, I’m going to try to post two or three times a week now. It will probably remain this way for around a month.
If I could do better, I would.
In the meantime, Happy Late Towel Day, here’s a video from the ISS.
See you soon, friends.
